In-home computer repair in Fountain Hills

Eazy Tech Services provides in-home computer repair in Fountain Hills, North Scottsdale, Rio Verde and East Mesa. We fix Windows PCs, laptops and Macs at your kitchen table, so there is nothing to unplug and no trip to a repair shop. Most slow, frozen and won't-start problems are fixed during the first visit, and the estimate is free.

Problems we fix

  • Computer is slow, freezes or takes forever to start
  • Won't turn on, or stuck on a blue or black screen
  • Constant pop-ups, error messages or a browser that keeps changing
  • Windows or macOS updates that fail or never finish
  • Out of storage space, or files you can't find
  • Cracked laptop screen, failing hard drive, bad battery or broken keyboard (we source and replace the part)
  • Upgrades that make an older computer faster, like a solid-state drive or more memory
  • Old computer that needs a decision: repair, upgrade or replace

What happens at a repair visit

We start by asking what the computer is doing and what you use it for. Then we diagnose it in front of you and explain the cause in plain English before any paid work starts. If the fix is software (cleanup, updates, a corrupted system, a bad driver), it is usually done on the spot. If a part is needed, we tell you the cost first, order it, and come back to install it.

Before we touch anything important, we make sure your photos and documents are safe. If there is no backup, we set one up.

PC, laptop and Mac repair

We work on Windows desktops and laptops from every major brand (Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, Microsoft Surface), Apple Macs and MacBooks, and Chromebooks. For older Windows computers we can also check whether it can run Windows 11 or should stay on Windows 10 with security updates. See Windows 10 end of support help.

Getting files off a failing computer

If a computer won't start but the drive inside still works, we can usually copy your photos and documents off it and onto a new computer or an external drive. If the drive itself has physically failed, we'll tell you honestly and point you to a specialist recovery lab rather than risk making it worse.

Repair or replace?

We will tell you honestly when a repair isn't worth it. A computer more than about seven years old, or one that can't run a supported version of Windows or macOS, is often cheaper to replace than to keep fixing. If you replace it, we can help you pick a model that fits how you actually use it, then set it up and move everything over for you.

Common questions

Do you offer in-home computer repair in Fountain Hills?

Yes. In-home service is the whole point of Eazy Tech Services. We come to homes in Fountain Hills, North Scottsdale, Rio Verde and East Mesa and fix the computer where you use it.

Do you repair Macs and laptops as well as desktop PCs?

Yes. We work on Windows desktops and laptops, Macs and MacBooks, and Chromebooks.

Why is my computer so slow?

The most common causes are too many programs starting up, a nearly full or aging hard drive, pending updates, and unwanted software. A cleanup fixes many cases, and replacing an old hard drive with a solid-state drive often makes an older computer feel new.

Can you get my files off a computer that won't turn on?

Often, yes. If the drive inside still works we can copy your files to a new computer or an external drive. If the drive has physically failed, we'll recommend a specialist recovery lab.
