Problems we fix
- A pop-up says your computer is infected and to call a phone number
- You let a stranger connect to your computer remotely
- Email account hacked, or friends getting strange messages from you
- Random pop-ups, or a browser homepage that keeps changing on its own
- Unknown programs, toolbars or a fake antivirus asking for payment
- Worried a password was stolen or reused everywhere
If you think you've been scammed
Turn the computer off and don't call any number shown in a pop-up. Then call or text us at (602) 935-1990. If you gave anyone remote access or payment details, call your bank's fraud line too.
At the visit we remove any remote access software the scammer installed, scan and clean the computer, check your browser and email settings, and change the passwords that matter, starting with email and banking. We turn on two-step verification where it helps and write down what was changed so you have a record.
Prevention that actually sticks
Most problems start with a convincing pop-up, email or phone call. We show you the warning signs on your own computer, set up a password manager or a simple system that works for you, and make sure updates and built-in protection are turned on. No unnecessary antivirus subscriptions.
Common questions
A pop-up says my computer is infected and to call Microsoft. Is it real?
No. Microsoft and Apple do not put phone numbers in warning pop-ups. Close the browser or turn the computer off and do not call the number.
Why am I getting random pop-ups on my computer?
Usually because a website was allowed to send notifications, or unwanted software or a browser extension was installed. We remove the cause and turn off the notifications so the pop-ups stop.
I let someone remotely access my computer. What should I do?
Disconnect from the internet or turn the computer off, call your bank if you shared any financial information, and have the computer checked. We remove the remote access software and secure your accounts.
Do I need to pay for antivirus software?
Usually not. Windows Security and the protection built into macOS are good when kept up to date. We check your setup and only recommend paid software if there is a specific reason.
